A fantastic value for art lovers

I loved Orsay's permanent collection of Impressionist art, especially Monet’s Woman with a Parasol and one of Van Gogh’s self-portraits. After that, I went to the Rodin Museum, where the sculptures were a highlight for me. The Kiss was my favorite piece. I also liked The Thinker and was particularly moved by The Burghers of Calais. This is a must for any art lover visiting Paris!

A day to remember

What a wonderful experience visiting the Orsay and Rodin museums! I loved that I could visit whenever I wanted, without time slots. The Orsay was filled with beautiful art, and I especially enjoyed the bold colors in Van Gogh’s The Night Café and Monet’s Water Lilies. The Rodin Museum was stunning, with its gorgeous gardens and intricate sculptures. The Burghers of Calais moved me deeply with its powerful emotion. Highly recommend booking this ticket!

DESCRIPTION

Orsay Museum and Rodin Museum Combo Ticket

EXPLORE THE IMPRESSIVE WORLD OF IMPRESSIONISTS AT THE ORSAY MUSEUM

To start your museum experience, head to the Orsay Museum. Here you will notice the museum’s peculiar architecture. Interestingly, the museum was constructed from the Orsay railway station, which preceded the museum itself. Remnants of the old structure are still visible in the glass arches spanning down the middle of the building. Once inside, you will have the largest collection of Impressionist paintings in the world. Observe the iconic exhibits from artists such as Van Gogh, Manet, Renoir, and Degas, among others. Make sure not to miss their masterpieces such as “Starry Night Over The Rhône” by Van Gogh, “Olympia” by Manet, and “Woman with a Parasol” by Monet.

EXPLORE THE REALISM AND EMOTION IN RODIN'S MASTERPIECES

After finishing your tour at the Orsay Museum, head over to the Rodin Museum for a little switch of pace. Here you will find Auguste Rodin’s sculpture collection. Most of his collection was sculpted in the 19th century. The most famous sculpture of Auguste Rodin is undoubtedly “The Thinker”, the original displayed in its iconic pose at the museum. Auguste Rodin was also famous for creating sculptures (busts) of friends and famous figures. Most notable examples include French author Victor Hugo and Austrian composer Gustav Mahler. Rodin also collected many other artists' works, so this museum also features his personal collection. Here, you can see Van Gogh’s "Père Tanguy", a portrait of his friend and art dealer, Julien Tanguy, marking an important moment in his artistic journey.

TAKE YOUR TIME IN THE BEAUTIFUL GARDENS OF HOTEL BIRON

The Rodin Museum is set in the Hotel Biron building, a historic mansion from the 18th century. It was Rodin's residence and studio before becoming a museum. Its beautiful gardens are today open to visitors. Many of Rodin's sculptures are displayed outdoors, so enjoy yourself in the peaceful surroundings of a unique blend of art and nature.
