I loved Orsay's permanent collection of Impressionist art, especially Monet’s Woman with a Parasol and one of Van Gogh’s self-portraits. After that, I went to the Rodin Museum, where the sculptures were a highlight for me. The Kiss was my favorite piece. I also liked The Thinker and was particularly moved by The Burghers of Calais. This is a must for any art lover visiting Paris!
What a wonderful experience visiting the Orsay and Rodin museums! I loved that I could visit whenever I wanted, without time slots. The Orsay was filled with beautiful art, and I especially enjoyed the bold colors in Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait and Monet’s Blue Water Lilies. The Rodin Museum was stunning, with its gorgeous gardens and intricate sculptures. The Burghers of Calais moved me deeply with its powerful emotion. Highly recommend booking this ticket!

Most of his collection was sculpted in the 19th century. The most famous sculpture by Auguste Rodin is undoubtedly “The Thinker”, with the original cast displayed in its iconic pose at the museum. Auguste Rodin was also famous for creating sculptures (busts) of friends and famous figures. Most notable examples include French author Victor Hugo and Austrian composer Gustav Mahler. Rodin also collected many other artists' works, so this museum also features his personal collection. Here, you can see Van Gogh’s "Père Tanguy", a portrait of his friend and art dealer, Julien Tanguy, marking an important moment in his artistic journey.

Interesting facts about Auguste Rodin
- Despite being a master sculptor, Rodin’s eyesight was poor, and he was famously nearsighted, which led him to pursue drawing and other artistic endeavors even more.
- “The Thinker” was famously copied in various places all over the world. Just in Paris, there are multiple copies, most notably on Rodin’s grave and in front of his museum.
- Auguste met the love of his life at the beginning of his career, A young woman named Rose Beuret, who modeled for him. They even had a child together, but Rodin had an affair with another woman. He eventually settled for good with Rose only weeks before her death. They were buried together in the end.
